  这位中国女婿，无疑是充分利用了自己天时地利，他来到自己媳妇儿的故乡，并尽可能辐射到从荒地村到哈尔滨、齐齐哈尔、长春、沈阳、大连……的整个东北地区，他走访博物馆、各种形式的遗迹，探寻曾经的满洲、百姓的私人变迁史、末代皇帝的轨迹、他国移民……试图厘清和探寻这地方史——这作为读者的我已经几乎很熟悉的黑土地上的昨日今朝。而回到荒地村这个所有人知道所有人的村庄，邻里间相互依靠、并自然地不信任外来者，这不光体现在对生面孔的疏离，也体现在对资本介入的排斥上，然而这留下来的年龄逐渐攀高的群体们，如果不签下协议又能何去何从？但至少现在，他们还坚持不移地守在这里，“无论好日子、苦日子，永远一起生活下去”。另外编剧还在文中穿插了彩蛋式的私人狗粮，编剧与读者间的距离因此再次缩短。
