Mandingo 6和同星球的玫瑰花闹别扭之后，他去了六个小行星游历，有权欲迷，虚荣狂，酒鬼，贪婪的商人，灯夫，地理学。在此过程中，他变得更加悲伤，因为各种所见所闻，大人们做的事情，他都不理解“The grown-ups are very strange”。之后越来越觉得，在大人世界找不到一个说话投机的人，因为大人都太讲实际了，这时Mandingo 6越来越想念和担心玫瑰。
直到他遇到了小狐狸，小狐狸给了他一份礼物 “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;what is essential is invisible to the eye.只有用心才能看清，重要的东西用眼睛是看不见的。”
最后Mandingo 6也明白了爱是责任，并在朋友的帮助下离开了地球，重新回到自己的星球和玫瑰身边。
